Kick off your Thanksgiving festivities with Still Shine & Brainchild at Kenny’s for our annual Blackout Wednesday throwdown!
About Still Shine:
From the foothills that bank the Illinois river in the heart of Illinois, Still Shine has deep roots in traditional blues, bluegrass, folk, jug band, and alt-country while challenging the boundaries of these genres with a bit of rag time, progressive bluegrass, new grass and outlaw country.
Formed in the summer of 2014, Still Shine is a group of like-minded, seasoned musicians blending acoustic roots and progressive bluegrass. Mixing mandolin, harmonica, banjo, acoustic guitar, upright bass, and tight harmonies they quickly gained a following around Central Illinois area and the local Midwest. They have shared the stage with artists such as Billy Strings, Railroad Earth, The Leadfoot Band, Cornmeal, Split Lip Rayfield, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Kitchen Dwellers, Larry Keel, Chicago Farmer, Old Shoe and the Way Down Wanderers just to name a few. Along with some well received original music, the band performs an upbeat, energetic show you won’t want to miss!

Brainchild is a band that combines the feeling of jazz & soul with the intensity of shredding guitar solos. Their growing list of original songs combined with a diverse selection of covers are a perfect blend of many styles of music. The best way to describe the sound is Brainchild. They are an up and coming band that’s out to melt your face. Recently they have been traveling the mid-west rocking out with bands like Sublime, Marshall Tucker Band, Oteil and the Peacemakers, 56 Hope Rd., Family Groove Co. and Groovatron. Playing regularly in Chicago and Indianapolis. A recent highlight was having special guest Jake Cininnger from Umphrey’s McGee sit in after a show in Peoria. Brainchild attended their 12th straight Summer Camp Music Festival this year and it was the best one yet!
